What does PISA measure?
Every three years, PISA assesses students in three core domains. Rather than testing memorised facts, it measures how well young people can apply what they have learned.
Reading Literacy
Understanding, using and reflecting on written texts to achieve one's goals.
Mathematical Literacy
Formulating, applying and interpreting mathematics in a variety of real-world contexts.
Scientific Literacy
Engaging with science-related issues and the ideas of science as a reflective citizen.
